IT organizations see great benefits in moving records and information to cloud storage. It can reduce costs and streamline the requirements for onsite support of rapidly changing technologies. But, are there hidden costs involved in such a move? What risks and considerations should be evaluated as a part of such a move? Are there ways to mitigate the risks involved while still realizing the benefits IT hopes to achieve? This presentation will explore these issues and point to standards and best practices that can guide decision-making.

About the Presenter
Diane K. Carlisle, IGP, CRM, is the executive director of content for ARMA International. She provides direction for the development of educational offerings, oversees the Information Governance Professional credentialing program, and represents the association in standards development and on professional issues. Ms. Carlisle has over 30 years of experience in records and information management and has worked in a variety of industries. Her primary specialties are information governance strategy and policy and the role of records management in litigation support and information governance. She has served on and led standards development in both national and international organizations.
